The international award-winning, ADA accessible Silhouette Trail, which meanders through Hawk Mountain's ridge-top forest between the Trail Head and South Lookout, has undergone another display transformation. The trail-side gallery now features 7 new raptor silhouettes, this time of a specific bird of prey.
New classroom posters available

The posters feature the broad-winged hawk and black vulture, two raptor species that breed in Pennsylvania. The full-color designs were published with support from the Pennsylvania Wild Resources Conservation Program, and offer vibrant illustrations by wildlife artist Bob Sopchick.
Hawk Mountain publishes children's book

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary staff and interns have published a new children's book, "Percy the Victorious Vulture," based on the true and inspirational story of a flightless black vulture that lives in Kempton, PA. The book serves as a new education tool to teach children about vulture behavior, raptor conservation, and citizen science.
