Eastern Garter Snake

Eastern Garter Snake

An Eastern Garter Snake (Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis) was spotted slithering around the bottom section of our River of Rocks trail by one of our biologists. We'll be seeing more of these sneaky creatures as summer comes around. Remember to leave them be and continue on your way!

Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Spring is really in the air! With the warm weather, our feeder station has been busy with a diverse cast of visiting birds. This male rose-breasted grosbeak (Pheucticus ludovicianus) was spotted among the many avian visitors, awaiting its turn at the hanging feeders.
