Philadelphia-based contemporary artist and Adjunct Professor of Fine Art at the University of Pennsylvania Deirdre Murphy will teach drawing from live American Kestrels and/or Screech Owls that are part of the collection at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. No prior drawing experience is necessary. This workshop will cover preliminary gesture drawings to capture movement and general shapes and also the basic anatomy of raptors. Both graphite and color will be covered with a brief slide show.
