Hands-On Art Meets Nature at Hawk Mountain’s 2026 Winter Artisan Series

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is excited to once again offer its Winter Artisan Series for 2026, inviting participants to the Mountain to explore a diverse lineup of hands-on creative workshops led by talented local artists. Designed for beginners and experienced creatives alike, no prior experience is necessary to enjoy these engaging programs.

The Winter Artisan Series features a variety of artistic mediums and techniques, from drawing and printmaking to glass beadmaking and basket weaving. Each workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore new skills and create one-of-a-kind pieces in a welcoming and interactive setting. Class sizes are limited to ensure personalized instruction.

How to Draw Owls
Monday, February 16 | 12–2 PM | $40
Learn to sketch owls using gesture drawing techniques in this hands-on workshop with wildlife artist Jack Hobe.

Coffee Art Workshop
Saturday, February 21 | 11 AM–2 PM | $25
Create your own artwork using coffee as your medium while learning how coffee consumption choices impact wildlife and conservation worldwide.

Paper Quilling Workshop: Cats in a Shadowbox

Printmaking Workshop

Glass Beadmaking
