Congratulations to Maya Halma and Arti Dhareshwar who took 3rd place at the Pennsylvania State History Day championship for their group exhibit on Hawk Mountain founder Rosalie Edge. The event was held at Shippensburg University on May 10 and 11. The judges praised the girls for highlighting this relatively unknown leader and for educating others with enthusiasm.

Maya and Arti visited Hawk Mountain to prepare for their exhibit, which placed first at the history day competition at Springhouse Middle School. The two then advanced to the regional competition held in Jim Thorpe on March 12 where they took first place and advanced to the state championship.
