Eagle Day

Bald Eagle with Presenter on Eagle Day

Program Times: 12 PM & 2 PM
Trail fee applies for Non-Members, FREE for Members.

Celebrate these majestic raptors and come see a golden and bald eagle UP CLOSE courtesy of our friends at Carbon County Environmental Education Center. This is the only day you be 100% guaranteed to see these eagles in person! The eagle programs will focus on the importance of apex predators in our ecosystem and the kinds of hazards those animals face in the wild.

Also visit the Eagle Discovery Station from 10 AM - 3 PM in the Information Pavilion to learn about eagle migration, identification, nesting and feeding habits, and reasons behind the phenomenal increase in bald eagle populations over the past 30 years. The bald eagle's success story has important implications for present-day decision-making.

Please arrive early to allow time to purchase your admissions ticket inside the Visitor Center. Be prepared to show your ticket, membership card, or be wearing your admission sticker upon entering the Amphitheater.

The hour-long programs will replace Raptors up Close. Seating is limited, so plan to arrive early or be prepared to stand. There is plenty of standing room, but this is usually a highly-attended program.
