Banded Hairstreak Butterfly

It's definitely summer on the Mountain, as butterflies, dragonflies, and other insects buzz around our garden and trails. This Banded Hairstreak Butterfly (satyrium calanus) was spotted checking out our count board near the Trail Entrance Gate.
