Joined Hawk Mountain in 2025.
Dan grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania, surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest where his love of the outdoors began. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in wildlife. He began his career working in environmental education in a variety of settings in Ohio, including The Cleveland Museum of Natural History and Cleveland Metroparks. He has extensive experience working with ambassador animals and delivering programs focused on our natural world to people of all ages.
Dan is thrilled to be part of the team at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. He acknowledges and appreciates the global standard that Hawk Mountain Sanctuary holds and is looking forward to enhancing the Sanctuary's mission to develop a deeper connection of raptors and our planet for our visitors.
He is looking forward to seeing you at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary and welcomes the opportunity to educate you about the most charismatic birds in the world.
Dan resides in Kutztown, PA with his dog, Maize. He enjoys exploring the mountains with Maize, hunting, nature photography, sports and exercising.
