Dr. Lorin Basden Arnold is an accomplished academic leader and scholar with more than two decades of experience guiding institutions through strategic growth, student success initiatives, and academic innovation. With a career spanning senior leadership roles at Kutztown University, SUNY New Paltz, and Rowan University, she has overseen large academic divisions, advanced major student-support and assessment efforts, secured significant grant funding, and led the development of new academic and co-curricular programs.

A communication scholar with nearly 30 publications, including contributions to The Oxford Handbook of Metaphor in Organization Studies, Lorin is also an experienced educator who has taught at Purdue University, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, and Rowan University. She holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Purdue University.

Dedicated to service and community engagement throughout her career, Lorin now brings her leadership experience, commitment to education, and passion for mission-driven work to Hawk Mountain.
