As part of Bald Eagle Migration Day on August 30, Vivian Conner, age 10, of Orwigsburg, participated in the bald eagle counting activity. Upon completion she entered her tracking sheet which was later chosen as the winner the bald eagle raffle. Vivian received a bald eagle puppet for her participation.

On September 6 as part of International Vulture Awareness Day, local vulture enthusiast Travis Winterborne, age 8, of Etters monitored vultures on the move and completed his monitoring and count sheet. Upon completion, he entered his data form and was later selected as the recipient of a plush turkey vulture stuffed animal.

The team at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary congratulates our conservation winners and thanks them for their participation.
