The New York Times Science section yesterday summarized a recent paper in The Auk by Hawk Mountain Research Associate Dr. Corinne Kendall on the foraging ecology of vultures in Africa, and including quotes by Corinne.
Corinne was a Hawk Mountain Graduate Student who studied the impacts of human activities, including land use and poisoning, on avian scavengers in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, as part of her doctoral dissertation at Princeton University. Today she is part of the Hawk Mountain research team studying hooded vultures in Africa, and is a lecturer at Columbia University.
