Posted on July 23, 2018 in Giving
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary recently earned a Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, the world's largest source of nonprofit information.
The Sanctuary received this top distinction due in part to sharing metrics that highlight progress toward its mission. To reach the Platinum level, Hawk Mountain added extensive information to its Nonprofit Profile on GuideStar.com, offering contact, organizational, and financial information, as well as details about goals, strategies, and mission results.
By taking the time to provide this information, Hawk Mountain has demonstrated its commitment to transparency and to giving donors and supporters meaningful data to evaluate. These metrics show that the organization is focused on ethical practices and a solid relationship with its donors and supporters.
"It is important that our donors understand that we are using their donations wisely to accomplish our mission of conservation and education," said Hawk Mountain President Sean Grace.
"We are proud of what we do at the Sanctuary, and we want to ensure our supporters that we do it well and with utmost financial responsibility."
"This highlights what we already know: Hawk Mountain is a wise investment of your conservation dollars."
