Homeschooled students are invited to join us on the Mountain monthly for experiential learning! Topics will focus on phenology of the Appalachian forest ecosystem. Programs are designed for K-12 students and are filled with hands-on learning activities both inside and outdoors.
Calling all aspiring birders! Ever wonder how our team identifies the migrating raptors so fast? Do you want to learn more about what makes Hawk Mountain Sanctuary a magical place for migration? Take the Raptor ID challenge and meet a raptor up close before we take a short hike to the South Lookout with our binoculars and discover how to identify the 16 different raptors that pass by the lookouts.
