Mourning Cloak

Avian species aren't the only ones seen flying past the Mountain this time of year! This Mourning Cloak (Nymphalis antiopa) butterfly was recently spotted in the area. This large butterfly species is not only native to North America, but also to a wide span of Europe and Asia.
