Climb Hawk Mountain to raise money for prosthetic nonprofit, ROMP

On Sunday, September 22, the 5th annual Ability Climb for the Range of Motion Protection (ROMP) will be held at Hawk Mountain from 10 AM – 3 PM in collaboration with Ability Prosthetics and Orthotics.

By climbing up Hawk Mountain, amputees will be given the opportunity to take their own steps. This hike will be raising money and awareness for ROMP, a nonprofit organization that provides prosthetic and orthotic care to those who are not financially able to access these services. With 50 other climbs happening worldwide, ROMP’s goal is to raise $150,000 to help 150 amputees. Ability will match up to $1000 raised by the Pennsylvania climb at Hawk Mountain.

Ability is a prosthetic and orthotic company that often works with the community through partnerships, charitable support, and education, following their principles of enhancing the health and well-being of their patients.

Registration for the climb is $30 and includes Hawk Mountain’s entrance fee, a shirt, and snacks. It is encouraged to meet at the Sanctuary 15 minutes before the hike begins. Donations will for the fundraiser will be accepted online if you cannot attend the event and wish to support ROMP’s cause.
