Trainee Endowment

Local to global: empowering young raptor biologists

Hawk Mountain has trained 379 young people from 79 countries, and thanks to the Trainee Endowment, supplemented by general operating funds, every graduate received a full scholarship. Without this commitment, the large majority of our trainees, particularly those in third-world countries, would never receive training of any kind.

With our success comes challenge: To assure this critically needed training always continues, we must fully endow the program. This will require an additional $300,000 which includes the opportunity to endow a full, half or quarter position, or to make a cash gift to support the endowment for this program.

  • $37,500 to fund in perpetuity a quarter trainee position
  • $75,000 to fund in perpetuity a half trainee position
  • $150,000 to fund in perpetuity a full trainee position

  • $7,500 to fund one three-month international trainee
  • $5,000 to fund one three-month U.S. trainee
  • Gifts in any other amount can be made to help grow the trainee endowment
