Hawk Mountain represented at international conservation meeting

Dr. Bildstein heads to Seoul, South Korea

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary will be represented October 17-20 at the Global Flyways Workshop, an event supported by the United Nation’s Convention on Migratory Species and held outside of Seoul South Korea.

Hawk Mountain was invited to participate based on the Sanctuary's extensive work in mapping the migration flyways of birds of prey. The workshop will use the Sanctuary's work as an example of what can occur in bird conservation when people from different countries work together to map the movements of the birds of the world, and use this information to define strategies that will better protect them.
