Painted Turtle

Painted Turtle

Our resident Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta) came out to soak up the warm weather and take a walk around our Native Garden. Painted Turtles are the most widespread native turtle of North America, and they enjoy slow-moving waters just like our Native Garden pond.

Spring Peepers

Spring peepers (Pseudacris crucifer) and wood frogs (Lithobates sylvaticus) have been heard and spotted around our pond and pools in our Native Garden. A sign that spring might finally start to show up!
