Wild About Winter

Tired of being cooped up in the cold? Visit Hawk Mountain and learn more about winter wildlife, enjoy a live raptor program, take part in a children's activity or join us for a winter walk. Complimentary hot chocolate and bird friendly coffee will be served, and a naturalist will be on hand to help identify winter birds at our bird feeder windows.

Schedule:
11 am--Live raptor program

11-3 pm--Bird feeder interpretation
learn how to identify common winter birds

Noon-2 pm--Kids Craft
Focus: What do animals do during the winter?

1 pm--Winter Woods Walk
Easy, one-mile walk. Trail fee applies. Dress for weather.
In the event of inclement weather, an indoor activity may be substituted

2 pm--Live Raptor Program
See one of our resident hawks or owls up close


Hiking is always FREE for members.  Non-member trail fees are  $6-ages 13 and up, $5-seniors 65 and older,  $3-ages 6-12, 5 and under free. Hazardous weather/travel conditions will cancel this event. For more information, call Hawk Mountain Sanctuary at 610-756-6961.
